What are we doing in ASEAN?
New Zealand committed NZ$10 million (2020-2025) of funding for CSA activities in ASEAN. The Initiative, which was successfully completed in June 2025, improved national agricultural greenhouse gas inventories in our six partner countries, built GHG measurement capacity, increased networking between science and policy communities, and delivered successful regional research projects.
Regional Measurement Hubs were established in the Philippines and Vietnam with the equipment and expertise to measure emissions in the region. The Hubs enable these countries to act as regional champions. Measurement facilities were also installed in Laos and Cambodia. Please see country pages for details.
